I Accidentally Made GIANT Dumplings! 🤣 | Recreating My Mom’s Chicken & Dumplings

When South Florida got a rare cold snap back in February, I decided it was the perfect excuse to recreate one of my favorite comfort foods… my mom’s homemade chicken and dumplings. There was just one problem. My mom never wrote the recipe down, and she never measured anything! So this was completely experimental as I tried to recreate it from memory. I shopped for the ingredients, cooked everything from scratch, and thought I was doing pretty well… until I added the dumplings. I had no idea how much the batter would expand! What started as normal-sized spoonfuls turned into the biggest dumplings I’ve ever seen. 😂 They were practically the size of softballs! Thankfully, even though they were enormous, they were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. More importantly, the flavors brought back wonderful memories of my mom and her amazing cooking.
