The VW Atlas is one of the largest vehicles in its class with plenty of front and second row legroom but where it shines is in third row space offering best in class legroom at almost 34 inches. Overall cargo space at 96.8 cubic feet beats out its main competitors, the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade, only the Chevrolet Traverse offers a little bit more. There are two engine options for the Volkswagen Atlas, a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
