This house was built by my grandfather many years ago, back when the value of money and housing prices were completely different from today. It’s not fancy, or perfectly organized, but this is what a real family home in rural China feels like. In this video, you’ll see the big front gate and open yard, traditional wooden hard furniture, a very lived-in kitchen, storage rooms full of random household items, squat toilets, mosquito nets and so on.
