Less than three weeks before the presidential runoff, Iván Cepeda's campaign reportedly decided to reinforce its strategy in Cesar, one of the departments where the race against Abelardo de la Espriella was closest in the first round, with a difference of only 617 votes. To this end, Juliana Guerrero reportedly joined the campaign, appointed to coordinate activities. She not only met with the grassroots members of the Historical Pact, but also reached out to the student movement at the Popular University of Cesar (UPC), where she wields significant political influence as the president's representative on the University Council. As part of her outreach, she organized a "pajama party" on Wednesday, June 3, in the university plaza, starting at 5:00 p.m. However, according to photos and videos of the event, the turnout was lower than expected, with no more than 50 people attending. Some young people arrived at the gathering dressed in pajamas and carrying pillows, posing next to a banner with the faces of Iván Cepeda and Aida Quilcué. However, the gathering didn't last long due to low attendance. What appears to be happening in Cesar is a neck-and-neck battle for votes between different political dynasties, making it a stronghold of political machines that resulted in a close race between Cepeda and de la Espriella.
