Later, I asked Sheikh Muhammad Abu Bakr about this, and he told me that people pay installments on chalets, save up for summer vacations, and pay exorbitant university and school fees, yet when it comes to the Hajj pilgrimage, they say it's only obligatory for those who can afford it, refusing to allocate a portion of their substantial income for it… People secure their children's future with apartments, hold weddings and engagements, host lavish parties, and buy everything they desire, without even considering saving for Hajj. Thank God, in 2010, my husband and I decided to perform Hajj. I was 36 years old at the time, and we put all the money we had into it.
