DIY attic storage lift.
I built this attic lift to get storage bins up above my garage. The space between my 2x12 rafters was enough space to get small/medium totes up without having to cut into any of them. I got the idea from another YouTube video so shout out to Engine3FF for sharing his great idea. Built the frame myself with 2” tubing and used the Harbor Freight 400# hoist everyone else is using. I used 1” tubing for the elevator platform and used garage door parts I picked up on Amazon and Lowe’s. Over all I spent 2 weeks working on/off and less than $400 for parts. I said Facebook in the video but meant YouTube. Sorry about any confusion.
