Through a journey through changing warfare paradigms, this talk explores the evolution of low-intensity warfare and the end of the perception of war as a monopoly of military professionals. From the return of symmetric warfare to the implications of hybrid warfare, including the growing importance of open-source intelligence (OSINT) and social media in warfare. The talk also addresses the new technologies shaping the battlefield, including artificial intelligence, drones, cyberwarfare, and online propaganda, with a focus on technological determinism and the Ishikawa Diagram. Furthermore, the relationship between war and politics is examined, citing Clausewitz and emphasizing how, in the nuclear age, the true enemy may be war itself. The talk concludes with a reflection inspired by his 1982 book "Wargames." He founded the think tank Parabellum, of which he is Managing Director & CEO (Parabellum Company). Member of the SISM (Italian Society of Military Historians) and contributor to geopolitical journals such as Limes and Domino as a military historian and military analyst.
