Stars honor Karlis Skrastins
During the entire 2011-12 NHL season, the Dallas Stars have worn a "37" sticker on their helmets to honor former Star Karlis Skrastins, who was involved in the tragic Russian airplane accident late last summer. On Saturday, the Stars organization honored Skrastins in a pre-game ceremony. Karlis' wife, Zane (pronounced Za-neyh), and three daughters (Karolina, Laurena, and Viviana) were at the pre-game ceremony to drop the puck at center ice. Video: www.sportacentrs.com
