Chochmah of ohr yoshor and ohr chozer are like the difference between coal and flint
Samach Vav Part 145 -- p. 107-108: The difference in how the concealed fire is revealed in the flint and the coal is twofold: 1. In the flint, the fire is revealed only through striking the stone; the coal, on the other hand, does not require exertion, only blowing on it. 2. The flint's capacity for producing sparks does not get exhausted. In contrast, the coal's flame is limited and will ultimately extinguish. Both these features are due to the difference between the manner in which the fire exists within its concealed source -- as a concealment that has or does not have substance. This is the difference between chochmah of ohr yoshor and chochmah of ohr chozer Chochma (like all the sefiros) encompasses all ten sefiros: Chochmah of chochmah is the initial flash of a conscious idea being conceived. Binah of chochmah is its capacity to comprehend the idea. Keser of Chochma is the level of ayin, which serves as the source of the specific idea, before it has taken on a concrete form (a state of yesh) in chochmah of chochmah.
