Award-Winning LGBTQ Gay Short Film — He Came Back for the Dog. He Stayed for the Truth.

When Carlos, Ander's ex-partner, shows up to discuss the future of Beicon - the dog they once shared - Ander shuts him down, refusing any conversation. But Carlos won't leave without getting what he wants. A story about toxic love, emotional abuse, and the invisible reality of same-sex relationship violence. 🏆 Award-Winning LGBTQ Short Film | Originally in Spanish 🎬 English subtitles available Country: Spain 🇪🇸 Genre: Drama / LGBTQ Runtime: 12 min Director's Statement: "Most of us have faced relationships that have had some toxic component. At best, they are mere anecdotes that leave no lasting mark. At worst, they can become true horror stories, highly destructive for the person who suffers them. Emotional and psychological abuse, possessive behaviors, and physical violence can occur in any type of romantic relationship, regardless of age, origin, social class, or sexual orientation. However, this reality is particularly invisible in the case of same-sex couples, which often have specific characteristics that set them apart. One of them is the frequent use of blackmail as a control mechanism, whether through the threat of revealing one's sexual orientation, or as in the case of this story, the protagonist's serological condition. Despite the specifics of the situation narrated in Beicon, there is something universal about the emotions I want to explore in this short film. And although the story is based on a mixture of my own experiences and those of people close to me, I am also interested in reflecting the feeling of desperation of a character who is overwhelmed by the intensity of his own feelings, and who only knows how to relate to the loved one through dynamics of abuse and possession." ▶️ Watch more short films →    • Watch Short Films For Free 🎬❤️   ───────────────────────────── 🔔 Subscribe for more award-winning short films 📲 Instagram →   / shortfilmbox   ───────────────────────────── Subtitled in: English, French, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Turkish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Russian, Portuguese, Romanian, Italian, Polish © ShortFilmBox.
