BROADCAST SELECTION: "Heaven Belongs to You", Claude Timmons; "Deliverance Prayer", Beatrice Whitley

The deliverance prayer by Evangelist Beatrice Whitley, immediately after this song, is POWERFUL!! We lived for those congregational songs. Sometimes the Spirit would be so high, we'd want to shout for the victory right then and there. This is one of those times and this was one of my favorites, sung by the song leader Deacon Claude Timmons (now Bishop Timmons of Chicago). Deacon Timmons has a range unmatched as a male singer, and is as Spirit-filled today in his singing as ever. This is from one of the early telecasts circa 1978. Notables in the audience are W. Vance and Jan Washington. After the congregational, the service continues with the Voices of Monument TV/radio Choir. People would time their activities to either hear or make these services. It was not uncommon for pastors of other churches, who'd had church earlier that same Sunday, to grace our pulpit that same evening. Wow...what memories!!!
