In this video I make cold process soap with spruce tip infused olive oil. A few weeks ago I went to the forest to pick some spruce tips and wanted to include them in a soap recipe. I colored the soap naturally with spinach powder. I like how bright green the soap bars turned out and I hope the color doesn't fade with time. Thank you for watching! All natural soap recipe with spruce tip infused oil and spinach powder Total batch weight: ~800 g 300 g olive oil (50%) 180 g coconut oil (30%) 72 g shea butter (12%) 48 g illipe butter (8%) 2.5 tbsp dried spruce tip powder (infuse in olive oil and strain) 1 tbsp spinach powder (add to oils) 125 g distilled water 10 g citric acid 89.8 g lye (83.8 g if not using citric acid) (40% lye concentration, 6% superfat) Essential oil blend: 5.4 g pine essential oil 3.6 g cedarwood essential oil 9 g lavender essential oil Cure the soap 4-6 weeks before using.
