A baked hunter's pan with fresh chanterelles, Hubertus style. A delicious mushroom fillet pan on toast and topped with cheese, that sounds good. I think it's a quick yet special dish because of the delicious ingredients hidden beneath the cheese. We like to use fresh chanterelles for the hunter's pan when they're available. But you can also use mushrooms, of course, or mix the two. The combination of everything makes this toast incredibly delicious. For the toast, I recommend using white bread or Stuten bread; it tastes completely different than toast and because you can cut the slices a bit thicker. Now I'll stop raving and tell you our ingredients so you can make it yourself, bake it, and enjoy :-) Ingredients for Hubertus-Style Hunter's Toast Serves 2 Approx. 250 g fillet (pork or beef) 120-150 g chanterelles or mushrooms 3 small shallots 1 garlic clove 1 splash of white wine 100-150 ml heavy cream Salt, pepper, and paprika (hot) 2 large slices of white bread (a little butter for spreading) 4 slices of ham Cheese for baking For serving, because you eat with your eyes, add some parsley and/or chives.
