Protest at Kgosi Mampuru prison ahead of Janusz Walus' release

The ANC, SACP, and Cosatu are gathering to march to the Kgosi Mampuru prison in Tshwane ahead of the release of Chris Hani's killer, Janusz Walus. The ANC says the assassination of the SACP general secretary was tantamount to treason and remains one of the most painful occurrences in the country’s history. After nearly three decades behind bars, the 69-year-old is expected to be released on parole by Friday. This follows a Constitutional Court decision to grant him parole. Walus is in stable condition after he was allegedly stabbed by another inmate yesterday. Newzroom Afrika's Govan Whittles has more. Tune into Newzroom Afrika DStv channel 405 for more.
