Copacabana is a small town located on the shores of Lake Titicaca in western Bolivia, at an altitude of approximately 3,800 meters. It is also known as the gateway to Isla del Sol (Sun Island), a sacred island floating on Lake Titicaca. In Inca mythology, Isla del Sol is believed to be the birthplace of the Sun.
