Etrian Odyssey 1 HD: Solo Protector Wyrm

Its dead! This one took a solid two weeks of work and twenty hours of gameplay to take down. Unfortunately, this is where the dream of the medic solo dies, as she just cannot survive buffed attacks even with immunize. Protector is much more built for this, as with the prescience of rng manipulation she can become an untouchable god. Parry and Elemental Shields are a surefire way to avoid damage- the issue just becomes damage output. Wyrm has four main attacks she can do. Fire Breath activates once on every 4th turn, starting on the skipped first turn. It will do 2200 and instantly kill us, so fire shield is necessary. Luckily, with its level maxxed, fire shield will heal us for about 250 consistently, making it much easier to heal. Additionally, between 50% and 26% she can use fire breath randomly, leading to silly moments like using it 3 turns in a row on t145-147. Assault is a high damage single target hit that's difficult to survive, and outright impossible if boosted, and as such requires a Parry. Tail Whip is a multi target hit that does mediocre damage, and is a good opportunity to get some damage in, though it can catch us out if we're low. Finally, there's Quake, which it will only use below 25% or while bound. It's another partywide, but does higher damage and usually requires a parry. Finally, the golden opportunity to get attacks in is her basic attack. Low enough damage that we can sometimes get multiple hits in, its perfect for racking up damage. Unfortunately, she doesn't use it below 25% hp. Theres one last stormy pit stop to take on before the true final challenge, and it's potentially one final hurrah for the medic that carried me this far.
