🎣 First Bass, First Dogfish & An All-Night Fishing Session | Hayling Island What started as a quick fishing trip turned into a full weekend of learning, exploring, and staying out far later than planned. After a rough start and a few unsuccessful sessions, I headed back to Hayling Island determined to figure things out. From lure fishing during the day to fishing through the night with ragworm, mackerel and fresh rigs, this trip had a bit of everything. Along the way I met some great people, learned a lot about tides, rigs and bait, caught my first ever dogfish, landed a bass, and completely caught the fishing bug. The best part wasn't even the fish. It was spending hours on the beach, watching the tide come in, talking to other anglers, and sitting under some of the clearest night skies I've seen in a long time.
