I Watched Foreign GHOSTBUSTERS Knockoffs

Ghostbusters is a cultural phenomenon, and whilst American copyright laws prevented knockoffs being made, that didn't stop the rest of the world. With the recent release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, I decided to take a look at Ghostbusters themed films from around the world. I start with Indonesia, who in 2021, released Ghostbuser: Misteri Desa Penari on Disney+ Hotstar. A mediocre attempt with a very confusing tone. Next, it's off to Japan, with Highschool Ghostbusters. A baffling project that is too weird to appeal to most, and too tame to appeal to weirdos. Then, it's off to Hong Kong, where I get swindled into watching Chinese Ghostbusters, which has nothing to do with the 1984 film at all. But then, what about Bollywood? Cos they made a Ghostbusters knockoff in 2022 called Phone Bhoot. Another mostly unfunny attempt.
