The State Hermitage Museum presents the second part of the film created for the exhibition "OTMA and Alexei: Children of the Last Russian Emperor," which is on view at the Manege of the Small Hermitage from May 19 to September 10, 2023. You will learn about the education of Nicholas II's daughters—Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia—their daily routine, and the role their mother, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, played in their upbringing. The film is based on the memoirs of contemporaries, historical photographs and newsreels, as well as contemporary video footage of places associated with the life of the royal family. The State Hermitage Museum thanks the State Archives of the Russian Federation, the Tsarskoye Selo State Museum-Reserve, the Peterhof State Museum-Reserve, and the Livadia Palace Museum, a state autonomous cultural institution of the Republic of Crimea, for providing the materials for the film.
