They are the loudest, with up to 130 dB SPL (the spec that actually matters). They are the lowest, going down to 34 Hz for the loudspeakers, and down to 25 Hz for the subwoofers. But “loud” and “low” only matter if the speakers are clear, so Thumpv4 has SoundCheck DSPTM to ensure crystal-clear response. SoundCheck DSPTM includes a suite of features that make sure your Thumpv4 system sounds perfect in any scenario, while also making setup quicker and easier than ever. Choose between four SoundCheck DSPTM voicing modes: Flat, DJ, Live and Wedge. Flat Mode gives you a neutral, pure response, for when you’re shaping your sound with EQ or using Thumpv4 as an FRFR guitar speaker. DJ Mode adds a classic “smiley” EQ, which boosts the highest and lowest frequencies, great for giving you that high-impact sound you need for clubs and dance floors. Live Mode is all about the voice, emphasizing the vocal range so that the singing can cut through the mix—great for live shows, karaoke and speeches. Wedge Mode is what you choose when you’re using Thumpv4 on its side, as a stage monitor. … but those voicing modes don’t quite cover everything. There are all kinds of situations that can arise during sound check. SoundCheck DSPTM handles any issues, with setup features that activate at the press of a button: Feedback Eliminator, Music Ducking and Outdoor Mode. Feedback Eliminator magically eliminates microphone feedback, so you never look like an awkward high school principal trying to use a mic and causing a deafening screech. Music Ducking is for the DJs, and actually does something quite complex: when you speak into the microphone, it dims the music, then turns the music back up when you’re done. You can easily make an announcement without bringing the mood down (and without riding the faders). Outdoor Mode is exactly what it sounds like, adapting the sound for the outdoors. Thumpv4 loudspeakers connect to just about anything, including microphones, DJ controllers, aux playback devices, keyboards and guitar pedalboards—plus your phone, of course, with Bluetooth® streaming, speaker linking and wireless control via the Thump Connect 2 app. You don’t necessarily even need a subwoofer with how low Thumpv4 loudspeakers can get, but we both know you’ll want one anyway.
