Could you fit all of your makeup and toiletries into one carry-on backpack — for indefinite travel? We sold our house, and that's exactly the challenge I had to solve. In this video I walk through every piece of makeup, skincare, and toiletries on my countertop — what made the cut, what didn't, and the small travel hacks that saved me on our last big trip. We're leaving the USA to travel indefinitely: first a summer of camping and a road trip across the country, then a month in Japan and on through Southeast Asia, carrying only a backpack each. Somewhere in the middle of downsizing, it stopped being about makeup and became a much bigger question about how little I actually need to feel like myself.
