HABIT - An EverymanHYBRID Original Song

This is my very second original song and it is inspired by a favorite ARG of mine, EverymanHYBRID. I wrote a version of this several years ago but it needed a lot of polish and rewriting. It has quite a bit of depth and meaning contained within the production of the track, so let me walk you through some of it: This track was specifically made to mimic the general styles of Animal Collective's Who Could Win a Rabbit and Funeral by The Buttress. I spent about an hour learning how HABIT talks for this song. This song is in C Major, a very "happy" sounding key, however, everything else in the song is discordant and doesn't sound quite right. The drums and bass are off beat slightly. I used "happy" instruments (such as the kalimba) in order to create another discordance between the mood and tone of the song. I am not using any corrective tones on my voice, this is a straight recording, reflecting the unpolished and "raw" feeling of EMH. The "sarcophagus" and "effigy" in the lyrics refer to Evan's body, both alluding to it being a sort of human-shaped grave.
