In 1973, a series about railways was broadcast on ARD's afternoon programming. One episode focused on work at railway stations of varying sizes. The small Niefern station near Pforzheim was visited, as was one of Germany's largest stations, Munich Central Station. From today's perspective, the well-explained film feels like an episode of "The Show with the Mouse" for adults: an educational piece about long-gone processes when people relied solely on telephones and paper.
