The dramatic tone in the first part of the song might reminds you of Springsteen’s ‘The River’, but Vanparys drags the unsuspecting listener into a dark, up tempo and claustrophobic coda. The Bony King of Nowhere displays his ‘other side’ and tells a bitter tale of anger, resentment and despair.
