The star of the trip was at the B307 car bridge. First the journey on the lake went to the confluence of the Dürrach River. But where because of the lack of water depth with forwards came quickly. Then I paddled back with the tour kayak on the other side. The further course of the excursion led past the dam of the Sylvenstein storage reservoir. At the east end of this part of the lake is the picturesque whale gorge. I entered the gorge as far as the current water level allowed.
