Ep -04 “Army Trucks Toybash” (for Classic Plastic Army Men)

A project for one of the grandkids, who needed a truck to get his classic plastic “Army Men” to and from their missions. And there being very little out there close to what he was imagining. So I found a couple of regular trucks from a French company (I think) called “Battat”, trucks with the sort of front I was looking for, something along the lines of the Indiana Jones trucks, with the classic bonnet and fenders. And set about repainting, adding decals and dismantling some elements and kitbashing using various materials from “crafting card boxes” through to cable ties and 35mm tank kit accessories. A little different from my usual fare… but an enjoyable project. It might be interesting revisiting them in about six months to see how well they’ve withstood the force of nature that are young children… but at the moment, they seem to be doing okay.
