The ability to inhibit corrosion and relatively high strength to weight ratio, load-bearing capacity and stiffness make this repair technology an ideal candidate to be used in rehabilitation of corroded steel pipelines and other mechanical structures. Leaking Defects: If the internal and external corrosion defects are not treated for a very long time, the surface corrosion might lead to higher wall loss resulting in failure of the pipeline which is seen as localised through thickness corrosion defects such pin-holes, ruptures etc., A Rapid Curing Polymer Matrix Sealant Paste has been developed to repair and rehabilitate leaking defects in damaged pipelines.
