Chipping bamboo at Bamboo Land, Australia
Chipping bamboo using a Bandit 250XP 12 inch disc chipper. This species is Bambusa oldhamii which is not a very good timber species - quite soft and starchy, so it has no real commercial value as timber poles in Australia. This row of bamboo was removed to expand our bamboo gardens with other better species of timber bamboo. After chipping the timber and foliage, all the root balls where transplanted to a new location. The chip (mulch) was then used to mulch the new plantings. Absolutely nothing gets wasted at Bamboo Land. Connect: / bamboolandaus / bambooland Website: https://www.bambooland.com.au/
