How to make a camcorder really sharp Panasonic HC-VX980 HC-VX870

I've been filming wildlife with camcorders for a long time but recently I've been using a setting that seems to get really good results. It might seem obvious but it's actually the opposite of a lot of advice on film settings... The cam used to film this is hc-v 750 but all panasonic camcorders ( Panasonic HC-VX980 HC-VX870) since this model have a similar setting as do many others. Its worth a try...
