Parte 2 - Gruta da Lapa Doce - Iraquara - Chapada Diamantina - Bahia #casalqueviaja2003 #vlog

Part of a 42 km cave system, the Lapa Doce Cave is an extraordinary visit for fans of subterranean beauty. Currently, only 850 meters of this paradise is open to visitors, but beauty fills every inch of the place. The visit to the Lapa Doce Cave begins with a steep descent via a trail and stairs. The route is not difficult and can be traversed by any visitor without mobility issues. After a ten-minute walk, tourists reach the cave entrance and begin to explore inside, searching for the marvelous speleothem formations, stalactites, and stalagmites. Individual flashlights are provided so that each visitor can observe the beauty at their own pace. The journey inside the cave begins with a 70-meter descent, where a certain amount of acrobatics is required to pass between the crevices in the rock. After the initial descent, visitors arrive at a large hall filled with beautiful formations in the limestone rocks. The entire area is protected, and the tour is conducted without visitors impacting the natural formations sculpted over millions of years. Throughout the tour, tourists are accompanied by local guides. Groups depart every twenty minutes, with a maximum of fourteen participants. The visit is very relaxed, allowing ample time to enjoy the place. The exit, through another opening in the cave, requires a bit of stamina on the climb. A great excuse to stop and take some last photos before leaving. Source: Melhores Destinos
