Static equilibrium of a rigid body is the subject of this exercise, where we apply the conditions of equilibrium of forces and moments to find the reactions at the supports of a horizontal bar. We draw the free-body diagram and, from it, write the equations to calculate these forces. Finally, we verify the calculation by applying the condition of zero sum of moments about an arbitrarily chosen point.
