J and Z Train Acton at Canal Street (AM Rush Hour)

The BMT Nassau Street Line (J/Z trains) is one of the most neglected (if not the most) lines in the NYC Subway, except for Canal Street, which had been renovated in the early 2000’s when reconfiguration of the Nassau St Line was done to make trains only operate on one side, abandoning the other side and discontinuing it as a short-turn terminal. In the case of delays, trains can still bypass Bowery and Canal St via an “express” track on the abandoned side of the line.
