Casio CA-110 lo-fi industrial disco

I was looking for an old synth to create ambient pads for doom and stoner rock. Maybe a lo-fi Hammond-style organ. But the AI immediately gave me a heads-up that 90s Casios are actually great for this, though old Yamahas are better. Old Casios are usually more associated with that dirty hip-hop vibe, garage raves, and stuff like that. Once I got this synth, I spent ages messing around with its orchestral patches through an endless reverb and delay on my effects processor. In the end, without even realizing it, I put together this little setup and caught such a vibe. Huge credit goes to the Casio's bank of decent beats. It’s funny how it works out—it’s as if these instruments have their own character or soul that was accidentally built into them during design. And it's the instrument telling you what to play, not the other way around.
