Silifke Rehabilitation and Living Area: A Safe Haven for Our Beloved Animal Friends The Silifke Cemil Sungur Animal Rehabilitation and Living Area, operating under the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Veterinary Affairs Department, provides a safe haven for stray and needy animals. As of today, the center houses 400 dogs and 105 cats. The center not only provides food and shelter for these animals, but also treats injured, sick, and needy animals with expert veterinarians. The animals' socialization processes are supported, helping them prepare for their new lives. Since 2022, 4,656 dogs and 1,961 cats have been sterilized. During the same period, 7,473 injured and sick dogs and 3,677 cats were treated and restored to health.
