May I Have The Honour Of This Tune
Here's a set of tunes I wrote a few years ago, called "May I Have the Honour of This Tune?". I've attempted to record this one at least five times before, but until now I was never satisfied with the result. I'm happy with this version though, and it's a nice way to showcase the two recent additions to my family of instruments: the mandolin and the mandocello. These tunes can be found in my tunebook "Hand's Up Or I'll Play" (2021), which is available from my website, www.tijnberends.com For those who are interested, the instruments from left to right, top to bottom: Joe Foley bouzouki, 1978, tuned G,DAd Eastman mandolin, 2023, tuned Gdae'. Fylde longscale archtop bouzouki, 2013, tuned G,DAd. Eastman mandocello, 2023, tuned C,G,DG Martin guitar, tuned D,A,DGAd
