St. Louis 4K Drone Footage | St. Louis, Missouri | Summer 2023

*DISCLAIMER* It has been brought to my attention that some of my footage may not be compliant with FAA regulations. I'm not saying it was this video in particular; I'm including this disclaimer on ALL of my US drone videos. It was my honest belief that if the controller allowed you to fly, then you were doing so legally, or else the drone would not be able to take off. This is of course incorrect; the controller (at least DJI controllers) give you warnings to make sure you went through the proper channels to get authorization. It's basically the honor system. Though I think some of the FAA's regulations are unnecessary and overly stringent, I also never intended to blatantly disregard drone laws. I've only been trying to bring you the most spectacular footage I could while operating my drone in a safe manner. All this to say, further videos will be compliant with FAA regulations, and please be sure to gain proper authorization when flying in a restricted area. Thank you, and have a nice day! 0:00 Downtown St. Louis and the 630-foot Gateway Arch (Fun Fact: There is a fountain across the river in East St. Louis, Illinois that shoots water up to the same height as the Arch). 0:16 Eads Bridge, built in 1874, linking St. Louis and East St. Louis. The bridge accommodates pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as well as MetroLink light rail trains. It is notable for being the first large-scale use of structural steel for construction in the US. 0:44 Forest Park, opened in 1876 and larger than Central Park in NYC. This beautiful, expansive park is home to the St. Louis Art Museum, Jewel Box greenhouse, the Missouri History Museum, and plenty of walking trails and green space. 0:50 The Jewel Box greenhouse. 1:00 The western edge of St. Louis City. 1:22 City Museum, an incredible industrial jungle gym for kids and adults alike. 2:18 St. Louis Union Station, which was the largest train station in the world when it opened in 1894. Unfortunately, this architectural gem is no longer a functioning train station but instead houses both a fancy hotel and an aquarium. 2:44 The Delmar Loop, just outside of St. Louis City in University City. Delmar Loop is one of the best examples of a walkable entertainment district in the country and is home to some of the most popular entertainment venues in the metro. All footage was captured in 4K/60fps on my DJI Mini 3 Pro. The songs are "Glitch Art" by Sarah, the Illstrumentalist, and "Hurrungane" by Luwaks. I do not own the rights to either of their songs.
