From the age of two, she received instruction in flower arranging from her grandmother, Hattori Riharu, founder of the Koryu Toyokai school, and her mother, Miyamoto Riho, the second-generation head of the school. She has participated in the school's exhibitions since her university days, and has exhibited at the Ikebana International World Championship and the Japan Ikebana Art Exhibition. In 2009, she became deputy head of the Koryu Toyokai ink-wash flower temae school. She has since been active overseas, being invited to perform in the Republic of Tunisia, Africa, the Janadria Festival in Saudi Arabia, and the international festival "The Heart of Japan" hosted by the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, where she gave demonstrations in Moscow, Russia.
