My Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 (the first one, GT-P1000), is a tablet that's about 10 years old. I haven't really picked it up to play with it in the past 3-4 years. I once turned it on and it wouldn't let me access the Google Play Store. I couldn't update the system or any of my apps, and I couldn't even access the YouTube app (the app wouldn't update). This is because the Android operating system on my device is very old (Android 2.2 Froyo). Then, a few days ago, I tried searching for information about this tablet. I found that there actually is a custom ROM that developers have been using since 2016, which is where the system update in this video comes from.
