Steve Moneghetti - The Marathon Gods
After bursting onto the scene in 1987, coming 4th in his first ever marathon world champs & taking out the Berlin and Tokyo Marathons soon after, it would take Mona another 10 years before he got his chance to step onto the podium at the world level. It was 1997 and the world’s best long distance runners were lining up on the start line in the small greek village of Marathon, the sight of the first ever marathon in 1896 and spiritual heartland of the sport. Produced by NORTHSOUTH with the support of @BallaratMarathon in the leadup to their inaugural event. Watch in 4k on our YouTube channel, link in northsouth bio. MB01IEFB60SZ8XG
