The scattered clouds of Typhoon Bavi (Typhoon No. 9), which weakened into a tropical depression over China, are approaching Korea. Rain clouds, fragments of the typhoon, are connecting with a stationary front north of the Korean Peninsula. Rain clouds are gradually approaching the clear skies over Korea, which are covered by the North Pacific High. Meanwhile, far to the south, Typhoon Haishen (Typhoon No. 11) has formed in the waters near Palau, east of the Philippines. Typhoon Haishen will be the third typhoon of July. Many of you are likely familiar with the name Haishen. Typhoon Haishen is the super typhoon that made landfall in Ulsan in 2020.
