Gentle stretches for the low back and hips

These Tao Yin ("Chinese Yoga") stretches bring circulation and flexibility to your hips and low back through gentle, continuously flowing, unforced movements. Be sure to listen to your body as you do them, and never push or strain beyond what feels safe and comfortable. The wonderful secret of Tao Yin is that we "guide and direct the healing principle" by moving within our limits, but with lots of relaxation, intention, mindfulness, and breath. Enjoy! PS: Always check with your doctor or PT first, before trying new exercise techniques, especially if you are dealing with chronic health issues such as arthritis or joint injury. Because these particular stretches are done on the floor, they may not be suitable for everyone.
