Debunking the MYTHS of High Pass Filters
In this subtractive EQ video we look at how to go about attenuating problem frequencies within a track in order to make the source material cleaner and clearer thus making the mix process so much easier. We also look at the over use of High Pass Filters and why not all the advice given on YouTube is sound advice. We look at the sub 125hz region of professionally mixed recordings by the likes of Bob Clearmount and Manny Marroquin and how they include some vocals and instrumentation in these low bass areas not just kick drum and bass guitar. Our debut single Hard Times will be released on all streaming platforms on Friday 26th April 2024 and the video will stream on our sister YouTube Channel @maybenever1984 Our debut EP, Timed Out, will be released on Friday 24th May 2024.
