The extra boot locking control that almost no one knows about. This episode was inspired by subscriber Peter Strachan. He owns both a Jaguar XK8 and an XKR. Although you need to disassemble various parts of your trim to get to it. There is a very deliberate button to prevent boot / trunk opening without the use of a key in the secret key hole. The only other possibility that has occurred to me since publishing the video has been that maybe the Jag was sold in a particular territory that had legislation preventing the use of remote control boot / trunk releases. I do not know of such a place or why that would be a good idea, but what do I know🤔
