Plato: Intro to Political Philosophy LUMS 5/9/2019 A brief lecture on the vast writing of the man who kick started a revolution in human understanding. Plato's influence has not only shaped and formed the entire cannon of the philosophical tradition but has been equally influential over religion. His theory of forms began the debate between idealism and materialism that has persisted for 2000 years. Without studying Plato, it is impossible to make sense of our collective intellectual heritage.
