How to Clutch Kick: Drift Entry Technique

Ever wonder what a clutch kick is, or how you would do one to initiate a drift? Let a real drifter show you how to perform a clutch kick drift initiation, explain the physics behind why it makes the car drift, and demonstrate it in action using both driving simulators and real cars. In this how to drift tutorial video, we primarily use the Assetto Corsa drift simulator to keep costs down, but this technique absolutely transfers to real life cars. The drift sim car used is the World Drift Tour Street AE86 Trueno Hatchback, and the race track used is Initial: D's Mount Akina 2017 version. The real car used in is my Nissan S13 240SX, and my tandem partner is driving an S14 240SX with an S15 front clip.
