Bright & Wavy Art Meditation | Relax with Tempera Paint Sticks & Acrylic Markers

This 10-minute art meditation exercise is a great way to unwind and relax. It's also a great sketchbook warm-up for longer art-making sessions! Choose your colors at random, or find a source of inspiration for your color palette (lately, I've been loving the book Dictionary Of Color Combinations Volume 2 by Sanzo Wada). This is a lovely mindfulness practice that will help you get out of your head and onto the page :) P.S. Remember this is supposed to feel good! Have fun! Loosen your shoulders! Experiment with your lines/colors/art tools. Art supplies used: Strathmore mixed media sketchbook tempera paint sticks (Kwik Stix & Shuttle Art brands) Arrtx acrylic markers (brush tip) washi tape Time stamps: 00:00 - supplies used 00:44 - swatching tempera paint sticks 01:55 - flowy lines across sketchbook page 07:33 - adding dash doodles with acrylic markers ~ Hi, I'm Jayme!
