Days 35-37: Snowless Dog Sledding in Willow, AK | Alaska Found | S3 Ep 48

We leave K’esugi Ken State Park Campground in Trapper Creek, Alaska near Denali and drive to Talkeetna, Alaska. We set up camp at Talkeetna Camper Park and we take time to explore the town of Talkeetna. Bob and Ted enjoy a beer at Denali Brew Pub along with our delicious meals. Will they like the brews? The next day, we embark on another must-do Alaskan Adventure, Willow Dog Sledding, at Alaskan Husky Adventures in Willow, AK. We spend the better part of the day with our guides, Dane, Jaren and Kaci, as well as with, Matthew and Liz Failor’s beautiful, well trained Huskies. Dane, Jaren and Kaci were amazing. They made us feel comfortable with the pups and the sleds. They are very knowledgeable on everything concerning dog sledding and the famed Iditarod. We made lasting memories and we learn so much about the Iditarod. The dogs are very friendly and they love receiving praise and a cool shower after each sled run. We had the best time. At the end of the tour, we learn, Kristina King is part of our tour group. She is a well known former female boxer who fought Mohamed Ali’s daughter in the ring back in 2009.
