Mountain Biking West Mack Ridge, Fruita Colorado Part I

Part II url:    • Mountain Biking Hawkeye Trail, Fruita Colo...   Part I: This film will feature the a trail mashup in Fruita, Colorado starring the new Hawkeye trail and West Mack Ridge. The Mack Ridge was once an under utilized area on the West end of the Kokopelli Loop trail system, but with the inception of the new Hawkeye, I wanted to show you a real gem of a loop. This area of trails aren’t as sexy as the Horsethief Bench, Rustler’s loop, or Mary’s Loop, but that doesn’t mean they can’t compete as a serious Fruita Ride. Mack Ridge trail description: A difficult black diamond trail with no mandatory drops, however there are 3 technical roller bits and plenty of chunder in areas flirting with the double black diamond ratings. The last technical roller will require an endo turn or “trials” equivalent. 3X drivetrains will get eaten alive out here so target using a high clearance sled with plenty of rolling diameter. Bring plenty of repair gear and accident protection because things will get violent on west mack. After west mack, we’ll move to an uphill climb on the lion’s double track and complete the lollipop portion of the loop. In Part II we’ll see the new Hawkeye trail ridden as a downhill.
