Mauthe Wall Clock – 4-Rod Strike on Hour and Half-Hour
This 4-minute video showcases the beautiful sound of a German box clock made by Mauthe. A cherished family heirloom, it was given to my father-in-law sometime in the 1950s or 1960s. The clock was professionally serviced at least once in the 1980s and has now since been fully refurbished—both the movement and the case—ensuring it will run for many more years to come. Although I won’t be keeping this clock, as it’s destined for another family member, it was a true pleasure to restore it to its former glory. And while you’re here, feel free to check out my other videos as well!
