FiiO WARMER R2R Tube DAC Review: Smooth, Lush, and Surprisingly Affordable. Very good sounding.

At $350.00, the FiiO WARMER R2R is one of the more intriguing DACs to hit the budget and lower-mid tier in recent years. It combines a true R2R resistor-ladder DAC architecture with a genuine tube-buffered output stage, a pairing that until recently was largely confined to far more expensive boutique designs. That FiiO has managed to execute this concept at this price point — and with reasonable engineering discipline — is impressive in itself. This is not a DAC designed to win measurement shootouts. Instead, the WARMER is unapologetically voiced for musicality, tonal density, and long-term listenability, and it largely succeeds on those terms.
